FAQs
What do I do for aftercare?
Aftercare is key! Try not to touch your tattoo for at least 3 hours, or until the next day. Keep the bandage in place if you have one. Remove your bandage 1-4 days after, by pulling a corner away from the tattoo (stretching the bandage). This time will depend. Do not leave on for longer that 4 days as your tattoo should breaht.
Best to take off the bandage under a warm shower so it is softer, and to remove any sticky residue. Always touch your tattooed area with clean hands. You can lightly wash it daily to keep it clean, best to use warm water only (or a mild soap) and do not scrub it. Think of it as an open wound.
Avoid submerging your tattoo in water for the first 1-2 weeks.
Do not scratch it! You can do this! That’s just it healing and doing it’s thang.
Moisturise it at least once a day for the first 2 weeks, or whenever it seems “dry”. It is fine to let it dry out between moisturising, it is good to let it breathe.
Avoid direct sunlight, tight restrictive clothing, rigorous exercise in that area.
A hand-poke tattoo will generally take 7-10 days to heal.
*Note: If your skin continues to swell, stays red or feels hot, keep your cool and talk to a healthcare professional.
I’m not sure what I want, how to explain it or how to start this process, what do I do?

Is your home studio wheelchair accessible?
No, it’s not as there are 2-3 stairs and no ramp. But I may offer a mobile service, where I can travel to you, depending on your needs. Book a free consultation with me and I can tell you more about what this means.
What is hand-poke tattooing?
Hand-Poke, Stick 'N Poke or Machine-Free Tattoos: Hand-poked tattoos are tattoos made without the use of tattoo machines. While they are created with the same supplies as machine tattoos, hand-poke artists push needle and ink into the skin manually, without the aid of a machine. This is a lot slower of a process and can look the same or slightly different that machine tattooing, depending on the style.
YES they are just as permanent.
YES they still hurt.
As there is the absence of a machine, there is not “buzzing” sound or vibration contributing to the experience. This is why I prefer this style, as it feels like a gentler all round experience for the senses.
How does your pricing work?
There are many contributors to what the price is of a tattoo. For example: Size, design, position on the body, colour, commission/flash. I also use a sliding scale method, this means I put the design into a specific price bracket and YOU decide how much you would like to pay. This must be decided BEFORE you’re appointment (via e-mail), to ensure smooth payment processing after your tattoo. Your $70 non-refundable deposit is deducted from the total price, and must be paid upon booking.
If you have specific questions are payment, you would like a quote or you would like talk about payment plans- please book a free tattoo consultation with me here.
My minimum tattoo price is $120.
My tattoos generally fall into the below price brackets:
Under 5cm {120-220}
5cm-10cm {180-300}
10cm-15cm {260-400}
15cm-20cm {380-450}
*IMPORTANT NOTE: the brackets may be different depending on what design you are getting and where on your tīnana (body). These are here to provide you with a rough estimate and idea of how I work. Theses size brackets do not take into account everything that may contribute to the pricing bracket that I will provide you.
Do you do discounts or deals on multiple tattoos?
Yes! Absolutely. This will depend on a case by case basis, but I will do different kinds of deals for matching/group tattoos, as well as getting multiple tattoos in one session (small to medium sized only).
Do you repeat flash?
No, unless you’re getting a matching one with someone else who is consenting to it.
ALTHOUGH - I am able to alter flash to create something of the same kind/energy if the one you like is already taken:)
I have feedback! Where do I put this?
